The Princeton School of Public and International Affairs’ Center for the Study of Democratic Politics assembled a group of former members of Congress and leading scholars to examine how the legislative branch can reclaim its constitutionally mandated powers from the executive and judicial branches.
More than three dozen people from both political parties participated. The report includes proposals regarding appropriations and budget, war powers, congressional oversight, and the federal appointments process.
